I don’t know what I did to deserve all these power house, bad ass, boss ladies who come to me to style their head shots and branding shoots, but I was so thrilled when Jamie asked me to style her head shots! I’ve known Jamie for a while and I’m always in awe of her knowledge of the gut and diagnostics. Many of the well known diagnostic companies have been lucky enough to have Jamie on their team or consulting for them; so when Jamie set out to do what no one else had done before- break into gut health for pets, I knew she would be a huge success!

I have used Innovative Pet Labs for my pup, Jagger. They say doodles should be grain free so I was curious to check out Jaggers gut health. I was fascinated by the results that confirmed Jagger was in fact gluten intolerant.

When Jamie called me it was a bit last minute. She needed headshots quickly and wanted to look great in them because she’d be using them for various things, on her website, at conventions, during presentations… She actually asked for a suggestion of photographers that specialize in head shots so I sent her to my guy Will Hawkins Photography and he was able to squeeze her in quickly.

I quickly ran to the mall and pulled several looks. I wanted Jamie to look and feel powerful (like she is) and luxurious. I decided to stick with neutrals so that the pics would work with whatever she choose to use them for. I wheeled my little rack into her home and she tried on all the looks and selected two. She only ended up being able to use one outfit in her photoshoot and opted to go with the one pictured below. Black is a powerful, neutral color that can go with many other colors so it’s easy to use in headshots that are going to be used for various things. Sometimes black can be boring so I like to add texture and unexpected flare. For this look I added leather pants for a little something unexpected. The cardigan is a nice change from a traditional blazer, but with the contrasting trim and gold buttons it makes it much more business appropriate. For jewelry we stayed simple with a touch of sparkle. Her eyes sparkle enough so I didn’t want to detract from them and my look at her blue eyes pop!
